Families for Children believe that the best place for a child to grow is with their birth families. However, where this is not possible they endeavour to find new adoptive families who can offer them a stable and loving home.

Many of the children placed by Families for Children are vulnerable and have complex extra needs resulting from early childhood traumatic experiences, including abuse, neglect or extreme changes in their lives.

As a specialist adoption agency providing advice and support for those who are considering adoption, they also offer support to the child and new families for as long as they need.

Families for Children has placed over 500 children in the last 20 years with new adoptive families in the South West and at any one time can be supporting over 40 families.

Exeter Cookery School supports the charity in fundraising to maintain their vital support work.
