During this hands-on course you’ll not only make some of these classic examples of bakery and patisserie, you’ll also learn the ins and outs of what, for some, can be a tricky subject.


Fear not - we’ll show you a complete range of techniques as well as impart loads of tips, tricks and ‘saves’ that our experienced chefs have amassed over their years in professional cookery.


At the end of the day you’ll take home everything you made so you can share (that is, if you really want to!) with family and friends.

Techniques learnt:

  • Creaming method for light as air cake mix
  • All-in-one method when time is short
  • Greasing and lining cake tins
  • Baking times and temperatures
  • How to tell when your cake or dessert filling is done
  • Cooling prior to filling and frosting
  • Making Butter Cream
  • Making Fudge filling
  • Storing
