Louise 'the Cheese'

New Zealand-born cheese maker, Louise Talbot, developed a love of good food from an early age, having grown up on the family farm. Says Louise, “New Zealand is a nation of more dairy cows than people!”

Louise was first taught to make cheese more than 20 years ago and went on to train in commercial cheese manufacture. A qualified teacher, Louise combines her passion for cheese and teaching others new skills on her UK-based cheese making classes and we are delighted to host these at Exeter Cookery School.

She’s a member of the Specialist Cheese Makers Association, The Guild of Fine Foods and a judge at both the World and Global Cheese Awards and Great Taste Awards.
