Korean food is hearty, nutritious and renowned for its bold flavours: following the Oriental rules of the five tastes Salt, Sweet, Sour, Hot and Umami!


On this half day course at Exeter Cookery School, you will learn how to create the following:


Beef Bulgogi

Thinly sliced beef in a sticky, flavour-packed marinade, perfect on top of rice or rolled up inside a lettuce leaf. We will give you tips and tricks to make this delicious BBQ-style beef dish in a flash.


Korean Sticky Rice

Perfect for soaking up the juices from the beef bulgogi!


Kimchi Jeon (Kimchi Pancake)

A gorgeously crispy yet chewy pancake using Kimchi (fermented spicy cabbage)


Quick Cucumber Kimchi

Thinly sliced cucumber in a spicy sauce. Quicker than the real deal and just as tasty!


Minimum age: 14 if accompanied by an adult or 16+ unaccompanied.

You will make:

  • Beef Bulgogi -Korean BBQ beef
  • Sticky Korean Rice – perfectly cooked sticky rice
  • Kimchi Jeon – kimchi pancake
  • Cucumber Kimchi – pickled cucumber in a spicy sauce
