Half Day Pasta Making Course

HALF DAY COURSE (9:30am - 12:00pm / 2:00pm - 4:30pm)

There is very little more satisfying than making your own pasta!

But, like making your own bread, making pasta is an art. Indeed, the two processes share many common elements: the mixing of the ingredients, fingers caked in sticky dough, flour everywhere, the kneading and the shaping…

So, on your Pasta Making Course you’ll learn about the different types of flour used, the names of different shapes and why they differ. You’ll make pasta dough by hand and by machine and shape it using a variety of methods.

You’ll make egg yolk-filled raviolis just like on Masterchef (but without the disasters) to either eat with your fellow students or to take home.

At the end of it all, you’ll be able to say, “I did that!”

Techniques learnt:

  • Which flour to use
  • Making pasta dough by hand
  • Rolling with a pasta rolling machine
  • Making Egg Yolk, Spinach and Ricotta Raviolis
  • Cooking methods
  • Blanching fresh pasta
  • Cook-ahead pasta

You will make:

  • Raviolo of Egg Yolk with Spinach and Ricotta

Please note, this course is suitable for vegetarians, however we are not currently able to accommodate GF dietary requirements on our pasta making course.
