Half Day Comfort Puddings

HALF DAY COURSE (9:30am - 12:00pm / 2:00pm - 4:30pm)

On this half day puddings course, you’ll be making two classic puddings which you can then take home to share with family and friends.


We’ll show you how to get the best from the ingredients and make sure you cook them to restaurant-quality perfection!


Learn to make a comforting Syrup Sponge and a luscious Tiramisu.

Techniques learnt:

  • All-in-one sponge cake batter
  • Judging the correct consistency
  • Greasing and lining baking tins
  • Baking sponge pudding
  • The secrets of whisking egg whites
  • Whipping cream to the correct consistency
  • Making a Pate a Bombe (whisked egg yolks and sugar)
  • Soaking sponge in coffee and alcohol
  • Cutting and folding aerated ingredients

You will make:

  • Syrup Sponge and Custard
  • Tiramisu
