HALF DAY COURSE (9.30am - 12pm / 2pm - 4.30pm)

Only £65.00 per person

If you want to discover traditional Indian cookery, this is the perfect course for you. Led by Exeter Cookery School's Indian cooking tutor, Nila Ross-Patel, this fun, hands-on cookery course will teach you how to cook Pudlas and Gujarati Pasties.

Pudlas are a traditional Gujarati pancake using chickpea (gram) flour and spices. Best served hot, not only will you get the chance to make your own mix, you will be given the opportunity to make your pancakes and eat them hot from the pan! This will be served with a traditional cup of masala chai.

Nila enjoys fusing western and traditional Indian ingredients together to make scrumptious results. On this half day course you will discover the delights of Nila’s Gujarati Pasties. Using ready-made puff pastry, you will learn how to make a spiced mung bean and brown rice filling, with Nila’s usual flair for spicing to create a unique twist on our regional pasty.

Participants will make the filling for themselves, and then make and cook the Gujarati pasties to take home to family or friends (that is, if you haven’t wolfed them down on the way home, as they are rather moreish!)
