With its balance of fresh herbs, meat, seafood, spices and zingy flavours, Vietnamese food is considered one of the most vibrant and healthy cuisines in the world.
At Exeter Cookery School you will learn some of the skills and techniques that set Vietnamese food apart and make so fresh and delicious.
On this course you will learn all about the five main flavour profiles: sweet; salty; sour; bitter and Umami ('savouriness'). Each dish you make on this course will highlight at least one of these flavours.
Cookery tutor Jazzi Curley will patiently guide and encourage you to make flavour-packed Prawn Summer Rolls, Sticky Lemongrass and Honey Pork Balls, Nuac Cham Dressing and a Fragrant Beef Pho (no Vietnamese cookery course would be complete without the country's national dish!).
At the end of the session, in true takeaway style, you will leave with all the dishes you have prepared and cooked in biodegradable/compostable containers - we even give you eco-friendly cutlery and a napkin so you can eat your Vietnamese street food on the go!
