During this fun hands-on cheese making course, you will be introduced to the science of turning fresh milk into a variety of cheeses.
You’ll make Halloumi, Ricotta and Mozzarella cheese which will be edible right away.
During the day, you'll also make fresh butter and mascarpone. You’ll get to enjoy your delicious freshly made butter on crusty bread for lunch.
No previous cheese making experience is required and the emphasis will be on making cheese in your home using readily available ingredients and limited equipment.
The class is suitable for vegetarians as you will be using vegetarian rennet.
At the end of the day…
You will leave the course with a selection of the cheeses made and with the skills and knowledge to make a wide variety of other cheeses at home. Cheese making kits (£30) will be available for purchase too.
The day is fun and educational immersion in to all things cheese and dairy.
