Rachel joined Exeter Cookery School in May 2017 and immediately became an integral part of Exeter Cookery School’s teaching complement. Having trained at Leiths School of Food and Wine in South West London where she gained a First- Class Pass and came second highest in her year for practical cookery, Rachel brings with her a passion for food and teaching others how to improve their culinary skills.

After her time at Leiths, Rachel worked in numerous different restaurants and pubs while gaining her Masters in Anthropology of Food. She now splits her time between Exeter – where she is carrying out her PhD in Anthropology (of Food, of course) and working as a tutor and kitchen assistant with Jim, Lucy and Natalie at Exeter Cookery School – and Somerset, where she spends time with her horse and mucking about in wellies. Her speciality is working with children, helping to develop a fun and informative range of children’s cookery classes and cake and baking courses at Exeter Cookery School
